Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
We hope that everyone has had a wonderful holiday season and is excited for a brand new year! Here at Gerard Tuxedo, we certainly are. We are celebrating our 8th Anniversary this month. Without our amazing customers and fans cheering us on, we wouldn't be where we are today. Thank you all! We couldn't do what we do without your continued support, friendship, laughs and patronage. Still standing and celebrating 8 years is amazing!
To celebrate, we are having an Anniversary Open House!
We thank you again for your continued support and are excited to serve you in the new year.

Happy Holidays From Gerard Tuxedo!
We hope you are all enjoying your holiday season with loved ones & good times.
I would like to introduce myself to all of you who do not know me.
My name is Jenn Gerard. I am the owner of Gerard Tuxedo. I started my business almost 8 years ago on a shoe string budget & got a lot of help from my family & friends.
Everyone always asks the question, "how did you get into tuxedos?" I got a job working at a big chain tuxedo company almost 18 years ago. I fell in love with the business. From the way a tuxedo can make a person feel & look amazing, to all the special events I am apart of & wonderful people I get to meet everyday. I am a lucky girl..... I truly do love my job & what I do!
Through out the years I have had the pleasure of meeting so many great clients & working with some of the best people around!
I would like to say thank you to all of my clients, to all of my employees, my family & friends!

November Happenings
We hope everyone had an amazing and candy-filled Halloween! We've got sugar highs keeping us going around here :)

Please join us and other amazing wedding vendors of all varieties this Sunday, Nov. 3 for the Whimsical Occasions Bridal Show at the Inn at St John's in Plymouth! The event runs 1pm - 4pm. We hope to see you there!
We recently put ourselves on Instagram. Follow us! We're posting some of our latest styles and accessories there and on our Facebook page; you gotta check them out.
The shop is gearing up for the winter season with decorations and with the start of seasonal hours. Please note November store hours are as follows:

Friday: 11am - 6pm

Hello everyone!
We here at Gerard Tuxedo wanted to
take a second to express our gratitude to our customers. You guys are our

incredible privilege to once again win 4theBest! The contest is run by Channel
4 news and includes 16 large categories, each with their own subcategory. Businesses
with the most votes in their subcategory receive the award. Gerard Tuxedo dominated
in the Tuxedo subcategory. We are so honored and thankful to all who voted. Your
loyalty means everything to us. You guys are the reason we have been so successful.

Do Your Homework
When you are looking for your tuxedo rentals you should always check out some mom & pop shops. When you go to big chain stores you are over paying for your tuxedo rentals. At a smaller tuxedo store you will get better pricing, better service & most of the time the shop is owner operated. Meaning you will get the kind of service the big chain stores are lacking.
There are times when big chain stores will lie to you. For instance, they will tell you that if you have out of state groomsmen that a tuxedo shop with only one location will not be able to take care of your out of state groomsmen. That is not true at all! All your out of state groomsmen have to do is get a courtesy measurement from their local tux shop or tailor and then phone in their measurements.
They also say that a store with only one location will not have very many styles to choose from. This is also a lie. For example, my tuxedo shop has one of the largest selections of brand name tuxedos and vest & tie color combinations in Michigan. This means I carry more tuxedos than big chain stores do.
Styles that are really on trend right now, like grey tuxedos and slim fit tuxedos range from $120.00 to $145.00 in my store. At a big chain store those tuxedos range from $180.00 to $220.00. It is rental tuxedo......no one should be paying $200.00 plus dollars!
Most tuxedo stores do a 2nd fitting, where the wedding party tries on their tuxedo rentals to make sure they fit. Big chain stores only have you try on part of your tuxedo and are not very willing to fix any issues that you may have. A good tuxedo shop will schedule your 2nd fitting 2-3 days prior to your wedding, get you set up in a fitting room to try on your ENTIRE tuxedo. In my store we are able to fix minor alterations while you wait and our warehouse is local so if a customer has a sizing issue it is no a problem at all to quickly fix it.
So make sure to do your homework when you are tuxedo shopping. You just may be very pleased in what you find.
